England Trip #6

While I was in England, my family rented a Ford S-Max. I'm glad we did.

The S-Max, with the mid-range diesel we had, was peppy and quiet. The best kind of diesel.

The ride had a much sportier feel than any of the vans we get in America. The S-Max is a van that's fun to drive. Imagine that.

Even the styling was great. It looked like an elongated hot hatchback with that angry face and big set of wheels.

The interior was not a cheap, grey, collection of cup-holders like previous Ford vans. The stereo was a bit confusing to work, but the dash seemed very well put together. The seats were comfortable and the interior, overall, was a very nice place to be.

We had the S-Max for around a week. We drove it on motorways, through cities, through little towns, through the countryside and it was great everywhere. I was left wondering why we don't get stylish mini-vans in the States. The S-Max isn't a car you buy because you need the seats. Its a car you buy because it's cool.
