Air Intake Duct Removal
How to remove the air intake duct:
1. Remove left wheel.
2. Remove left wheel arch.
3. Remove air filter box.
4. Remove steel bracket.
5. Working from under the car, unhook air box fastener and hose fastener.
6. Detach hose from air box.
7. Remove air box.
8. Remove hose.
The air box had water sloshing inside. I guess it easily collects water in this tropical weather that rains and floods frequently. So I permanently removed the air box and hose, leaving only the air filter box. This created a nice intake roar when accelerating and better pick-up together with better throttle response. I guess the air box and hose restricted air flow.
